A New ‘Doc’ On WT Campus

West Texas A&M University has a new staffer, and he is a ‘Doc.’

The WT Herdsmen are in the early stages of training Thunder XV, as Thunder XIV continues to serve as the university’s live buffalo mascot.

Nicknamed ‘Doc’ for now, the little calf was donated to WT by Dr. Charles ‘Doc’ Addington after the calf had been abandoned by its mother. The calf was given the nickname of ‘Doc’ in honor of his donor and previous owner, and to carry on with the Pixar film “Cars” character names.

‘Doc’ arrived on campus, taking his place at the Thunder Lodge pen in late April.
