A. C Teacher Wins Educator of Year Award

An Amarillo College Early Childhood Educator has been named Educator of the Year by the Panhandle Early Childhood Educators.

Randy Warrick has taught 1-year-olds at the school’s Child development Lab for 10 years. She earned her degree in ECD from Amarillo College In 2003.

Child Development Lab School Supervisors say she deserves to win the significant award.

The release says the AC Lab School aims to “meet the educational needs of young children 3 months to 5 years of age and the school serves as a primary educational resource for AC’s Education Dept. and members on child-development educational pathways, primarily through observation hours offered therein.”

The PECE provides Professional development,networking, opportunities and support to more than 700 childcare workers throughout the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle.
