3rd Vaccine Option Nearing Clinical Trials And Approval

Another coronavirus vaccine has completed its clinical trials and will seek early approval.

AstraZeneca announced Monday that its vaccine developed with Oxford University was “highly effective”  with no hospitalizations or severe illnesses for any test patients.

The vaccine was 90% effective using a regimen with a half dose followed by a full dose one month later.  Overall effectiveness across all testing was 70%.

Two other companies, Pfizer and Moderna, have also completed clinical tests for their vaccines and are seeking emergency approval from the FDA.

With three vaccines now seeking approval, how long will it be before they’re available?  Do you plan to be first in line, or will you wait and see how the first round of vaccinations goes?
