18-Wheeler Crashes Into Borger Hotel

An 18-wheeler ran into a Borger hotel causing “extensive” damage.

The crash happened at 9 a.m. at the Borger Ambassador Inn at the corner of East 3rd and South Florida streets.

The semi was headed westbound on East 3rd when it crossed the center median, drove over the traffic light island, went across the right-hand turn lane from Florida, up over the curb, through the parking lot, and into the right side of the building.

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No one inside the hotel was injured but the building was evacuated as a precaution.
