Man Arrested In Dalhart

An Iowa man accused of attempted first-degree murder and tampering with evidence has been arrested in Dalhart.

Sixty-three-year-old Arthur Raymond Peppers of Donahue, Iowa is accused of attacking a man with a hammer on February 14th. Logan police found a bloody person at a car wash at Martinex and First Street.

The victim was taken to a Lubbock hospital for treatment and is listed in critical condition.

Peppers was arrested in Dalhart on an unrelated charge and bloodstains in his RV connected him to the crime.

Peppers will be extradicted to Quay County.
