One Point Four Million Dollar Drug Bust In Carson County

An arrest in Carson County on Meth possession valued at 1.4 million dollars. A federal judge unsealed the charges on Monday.

The court documents say on January 11th at 5:30 p.m., a DPS trooper stopped a Chevy Impala travelling eastbound against posted signs and speeding. The driver was identified as Gilbert Castillo who was travelling with a female passenger.

Castillo told the trooper they were travelling from Arizona to Tulsa and the car was a rental vehicle.

Upon further questioning, the trooper found several inconsistencies in their statements and requested to search the vehicle,
where 30 packages of Meth were in the car.

Both were arrested, and Castillo later admitted to knowingly transporting the drugs to Tulsa and admitted he was offered a payment of4 to 6-thousand dollars if he delivered them.
