U.S. USERS ARE LEAVING FACEBOOK (03/08/2019)
Facebook is sometimes viewed as a social network for older people, but more recently it’s been viewed as a social network that shares the data on users. So, it’s not too surprising a new study by Edison Research finds U.S. Facebook users are leaving the site in droves. The study looks at digital media consumer behavior in America, and says Facebook now has about 15 million users fewer in the U.S. than it had in 2017. The data comes from a telephone survey of about 1,500 people ages 12 and up. A lot of the lost Facebook users are now using Snapchat and/or Instagram.
