13th And Final Full Moon Of The Year To Rise Tonight

KGNC Full Moon

Tonight observers will see the 13th and final full moon rise of the year. It’s called the Cold Moon because it comes in December.

According to NASA, the moon will appear full for about three days from through Thursday morning.

The Royal Greenwich Observatory said the moon takes 29-and-a-half days to complete a full cycle and reappear in the skies as a full moon.

Due to there being two full moons in the month of October, this year has seen 13 full rises.
