1 Dead After Wreck Near Dumas

One person is dead after a wreck south of Dumas.

A 2003 Freightliner truck tractor towing a semi-trailer driven by 40-year-old Charles Fristone was traveling south on US87.

While changing lanes, the driver went off the roadway on the left side of the road and struck the guard rail and when he tried to correct causing the semi to travel back across the roadway and strike the guard rail on the right side of the road.

The semi then traveled back across the roadway, striking the guard rail on the left side of the road then traveled over the guardrail into a ravine.

A passenger, 39-year-old Ennie Eisenhauer, was transported to a local hospital where she later died of her injuries.
