Traffic Stop Leads To Felony Drug Possession Arrest

A man from Big Spring is in jail after Dimmitt police said he was transporting narcotics.

Early Tuesday morning, Dimmitt police stopped a vehicle around the 1500 block of Highway 194 in Dimmitt.

When officers conducted a search of the vehicle they found 1900 grams of an unnamed controlled substance and over four ounces of marijuana.

The driver, Henry Franco, was arrested and charged with both possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana which are felony offenses.

He was booked into the Castro County Jail.
