Texas Panhandle 100 Club “Battle Of The Badges” B.B.Q. Cook-Off

The smell of smoke in the air was a good thing Thursday evening as The Texas Panhandle 100 Club held the Battle of the Badges, a barbeque cook-off pitting law enforcement against firefighters. The Club supports first responders in the top 26 counties in the panhandle.

D.J. Stubben of the 100 Club

Stubben says the club helps out smaller communities with buying uniforms and equipment and financially with checks within 48 hours for those who have given their lives.

8-year-old Dylan Simms said he enjoyed the barbeque but he had other reasons for attending the event.
