Power Outage In Parts Of Canyon Now Restored.

Around 2,000 in Canyon are currently without power in the area of 4th Avenue and east of 23rd Street. Officers are on scene directing traffic in intersections and crews are working to restore power which should be back on around 3:00 pm. According to Wes Reeves with Xcel Energy, a goose had flown into power lines causing the outage. Crews had to rerouted power to most of the 2,000 customers without power. 83 customers will be without power until those lines are repaired within a few hours.
