No Fireworks Ban In Randall County

Randall County officials were unable to put a fireworks ban in place after their Tuesday meeting.

Randall County Judge Ernie Houdashell said that according to state law you have to go by a formula based on the threshold of moisture.

To ban fireworks the county needed to meet a measurement on the drought index of 575, they currently are at 530.

Randall County Fire Chief James Amerson wants to also remind residents if you are going to shoot fireworks this year to please be careful and that it is illegal to shoot off fireworks on county roads.
