Markets, Weather Challenging Corn

Corn prices took a big hit this week after USDA released two reports suggesting that strong production and weaker demand are combining to cause inventories to swell. At the same time, area farmers have also experienced extensive hail damage to their crops. It’s a tough time in the local corn business. For this week’s Texas Corn Producers report, I got some insights from the organization’s executive director David Gibson.
