Rangers Sweep Phillies For Ninth Straight Win

(Arlington, TX) — The Rangers scored five runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth to earn an 8-4 win over the Phillies and a three-game sweep at Globe Life Park. Ryan Rua capped the fifth with a three-run homer, while Nomar Mazara had a two-run single in the sixth for the Rangers, who have won nine straight overall. Martin Perez struck out eight over seven innings of two-run ball as he improved to 2-and-5.

Rangers Visit Tigers

(Detroit, MI) — The Rangers open a nine-game road trip tonight, starting with a game in Detroit versus the Tigers. Texas will also travel to Boston and Toronto during the stretch. Nick Martinez takes the mound tonight for the Rangers, opposite of Detroit starter Daniel Norris. First pitch is at 6:10 p.m.

Astros Host Indians

(Houston, TX) — The Astros open a 10-game homestand tonight as the Cleveland Indians come to town. Detroit and Baltimore will also visit Minute Maid Park during the stretch. The ‘Stros have won four straight games and sit at an MLB-best 29-and-12. Charlie Morton gets the start with the first pitch set for 7:10 p.m.

Cowboys Add 6-Foot-10 Lineman

(Frisco, TX) — The Cowboys are adding some legit size to their offensive line. Dallas signed undrafted free agent guard Dan Skipper out of Arkansas. The 6-foot-10, 310-pound Skipper took part in the team’s rookie minicamp as a tryout candidate last week. Skipper was a four-year starter for the Razorbacks and played in 51 games. He also blocked seven field goals in his career.

Ducks Down Preds In OT To Tie West Final

(Nashville, TN) — The NHL’s Western Conference final is all tied up at two games apiece. The Ducks blew a 2-0 lead in the third period but recovered for a 3-2 overtime win against the Predators in Game Four in Nashville. Corey Perry scored the game-winner. Anaheim hosts Game Five on Saturday.

Celtics Clash With Cavs In Game Two

(Boston, MA) — The NBA Playoffs resume tonight with Game Two of the Eastern Conference finals between the Celtics and Cavaliers in Boston. Cleveland grabbed a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven set with a 117-104 victory on Wednesday. The Cavs are 9-and-0 this postseason.

The 6-foot-11 Harlem native is ranked as the number-two player in the Class of 2017 by Bamba caps a strong class for Texas head coach Shaka Smart, who looks to rebound from an 11-and-22 season.

142nd Preakness Stakes Tomorrow

(Baltimore, MD) — The second leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown takes place tomorrow. The 142nd running of the Preakness Stakes is set for 6:45 p.m. Eastern. Always Dreaming is the 4-to-5 morning-line favorite after winning the Kentucky Derby two weeks ago. Classic Empire is next at 3-to-1.

Indy 500 Qualifying This Weekend

(Indianapolis, IN) — Qualifying begins this weekend for the upcoming Indy 500. Drivers will compete for spots in the field tomorrow and Sunday. The gates open today at Indianapolis Motor Speedway at 8 a.m., with practice beginning at noon. The 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 is a week from Sunday.
