Council Approves A New Building For APD

During Tuesday Night’s City Council Meeting, Council approved an award for the reconstruction and expansion of a building a parking lot for the Amarillo Police Department. The building and parking lot are located at 116 South Fillmore street. The department has had a need for an area for officers to transfer supplies and equipment to patrol cars. It will cost about $1.7 million and should be completed in six months.
