30 Pounds Of Meth Seized In D.P.S. Traffic Stop

A traffic stop in Carson County by the Texas Department of Public Safety results in an arrest and the seizure of 30 pounds of methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana on Sunday.

A Trooper stopped a 2018 Chevrolet Impala traveling east near Conway for a traffic violation. A search of the vehicle found luggage in the trunk with multiple bundles of methamphetamine inside.

DPS Special Agents and Drug Enforcement Administration Agents responded to assist in the arrest of 55-year-old Christy Bright, of Fairdale, Kentucky.

The DEA charged the driver with felony possession of a controlled substance and they say the drugs were being transported from Phoenix, Arizona to Louisville, Kentucky.
